Pride and Prejudice again

Tonight I have yet again marvelled Chapterhouse Theatre Company's production of Pride and Prejudice.
This time at South Shields, The Customs House.

I admit that the first time that I viewed the play at Alnwick Castle ( REVIEW ) the surroundings and the buzz about the place made it very special. Unfortunately the good people of South Shields didn't come out in force for the opening night (admittedly there was a matinee). Again a brilliant production has faced a lot of empty seats.
With a lot of cuts taking place in Arts funding, will the likes of Chapterhouse come to the region again? I certainly wouldn't if I were in their position. I have got no idea of how much it must cost the Company to fund their 36 date tour, but with dwindling audiences unwilling to come out (yes it was a horrible night, weather wise), maybe it will be the last.
PLEASE, PLEASE  support your local theatre, no matter whether professional or amateur..nine times out of 10 it is bloody fantastic!

...As was tonight's performance, please go and see it.

Pride and Prejudice is on until 29th Jan
